There's something great here but I can't find it.
 — Moose

I get it but I don't...
 — Ananke

explain something more about the poem instead of font. or does font really help that much? where did you get this idea from???

 — fetish

the letters that form the eight names are used to pictorially illustrate the figure of each. to "see" a lady, look at the Y as the crotch (re-read 3-7). following each, is a short cryptic/dense description of what i see in the figure. following that, is a more elaborated version of the short bit.
it's not deep, it's fun (or aggravating if you dont like stuff like this).

I saw the name 'EVELYN' carved into a railing in a lecture hall today, and I couldn't help but think of this.

there's another name with incessant connotations now, like so many before...

about the actual piece:
it's awkward, but definitely makes more sense with your last comment, gnormal. I got the 'Y' as a crotch thing fairly easily, but it took a while longer for me to get the rest of the letters as pictures. and I want to echo fetish's question, 'where did you get the idea from?' bizarre...

with my rating, you get extra points for being insane and making something this confusing with actual logic behind it.

i dont know where the idea came from.
i wasnt writing a poem. i just assumed
that there is at least one defn of poetry
out there that would include any as yet
unnamed things that can be done to text.

reminds me of the Kiwi poet/ writer, Keri Hulme...powerful until line 50 where I just don't get it. it becomes too personal niche and blah then, but really captures that teasy pin-up bikini girl angle of ploy and anal quirkiness until line 50. I prescribe that you stay away from computers and moonlight for three days.

Ah, I just read through this again, after a long time, and laughed hysterically throughout it. It's just so ridiculous that it's great.

Have you been out in the sun for hours today? Without a hat?!

I'll have to try again later.

eh...

Whoa, gnormal! I think you've suffered from "too much telling". You're doing a lot of showing, but because it's showing in pretty much the same dimension, it suffers from seeming like telling. This is more of a logical puzzle than a poem. I get it, and appreciate the forms, not to mention the effort you're putting into it; but I think that you should try some new angles to keep it fresh from beginning to end. And I'm not just talking ass vs. tits.

gnormal, you certainly have a defined style.
 — OKcomputer

hurts my brain,  but i laugh in arousal at your use of langage and imagery. i'm completely jealous of your relationship to these words.  oh, and i get it.  just so you know.  and i see it, too.

i enjoyed it immensely.
