Postcard from New Jersey

Babies laugh on TV
Mine seems to cries
I do my best
I just
don't know why,
Everything I do
Is less than I want,
working to hard
all of them taunt,
tomorrow will change
no more dreaming
much more doing
gotta get this straight
before the bend
becomes a break
Everything doesn't have to rhyme
for it all to fit.

is it just me, or does the first part sound very similar to the chorus of Rise Against's song "Swing Life Away"?

 — EchoesRemain

I haven't heard the song or know the band, but I have deleted the first verse until I can hear it and edit if I need to.
