I like cake, and was excited reading of it in your poem with the "f*cked" twist,
so for that I want to love it.
But I don't quite get it.  
"rosettes" are very lonely all by themselves (a description might be nice), they could be "wilting buttercream" and the white ribbons could be "royal".
The purple, the ribbons and rosettes make me think of an easter hat, which isn't a bad thing, i liked that image, especially for Granny.
L5 is especially obscure, I'd like to hear about it.
Just some thoughts,
