A chance encounter with a sunset.

A chance encounter
with a sunset
leaves her knee scorched
on grey stone
masquerading as a delightful yellow.
Scarlet races
through the air,
into the house,
streaming through the windows
so glassy, seeming as though they're
at the brink of tear.

i do like this - its both gentle and full of desire and want - there is something of the glory of the sky at sunset too

i can almost feel her flight and panic - lines 6 to 11 are wonderful

beautifully done
