What is it about Rabbits and moons?

a little rabbit emerged,
ruby eyes glinting with a hint of the cosmos.
From an egg of a moon the tiny one dropped,
Almost like the hen
In a bowl of chicken with stars.
Out in the big, big world now
Not knowing of all the pitfalls,
This stewing has
so many unknown ingredients.
In the unreachable edges of the container,
is the label even readable?
That rabbit had been to earth once,
Opening its eyes with a little ball in the sky.
This rabbit, freshly birthed,
May know more than the rest,
That opening one’s eyes in the dark
Is so very similar to being awake.
