Flash Fire

I hear the roar
of distant thunder,
the moment lightening
strikes my heart;
a white-hot
blinding flash of passion
sears my soul
as its sheared in half.
Night, suddenly
engulfed by fire,
with only you
to heed my cries;
yet all I see
from deep beneath you
is the flame
reflected in your eyes.
