Who you are

When red turns to black honesty turns to lies,
This is what happened,
It's the story of my life.
My eyes are dead with sorrow,
My touch is now longer soft,
How did this begin?  Where will it go?
The answer to those questions I will never know.
36 months destroyed in minutes,
One selfish act caused this sadness,
A kiss on her forehead, a kiss on the cheek,
One last act of love I will never repeat.
This is the end of my one true love,
Although I still give you praise to whom you are,
It's all your fault, for the person you are.
