Comfortable Leather Mittens

Tense unbent digits in lateral contact
A lasting conversation with the cumulous clouds
Please throw me the gourmet shuttlecock
So I can attach it to the snout of a monorail,
for I have purchased Gorilla Glue.
Incomposed demolition of fetal flesh
Torn covering of the unblessed bovine
Still moist and thriving as it unpeels,
dithering between deliverance and departure –
it chose to compose itself as our mittens.
A momentary glimpse of the Berger King
That transformed pain into comfort and commodity
We repossessed the derelict prodigy
as we stooped on our cheesy elbow macaroni
And sang Happy Birthday to the inanimate mute
wearing our comfortable leather mittens.
