High See

There was a jack rabbit
who stood with slender
long legs wide apart.
In my mind, I asked it
what it was bridging?
(A happy invisible asked
what it was spreading?!)
There was a cloud-shown
female lying across water
flowing. She wore a dress
of water, and within it fish.
The full Moon rose behind
a great unseasonable mist.
It peeked as and transformed
near-view clouds into dub-
puddles of magenta.
Into a clearing, it became
a sweet orange.
