Distant Descendants
Sally_Amani

And, to believe
 1
war could have been,
 2
once long ago,
 3
just a jealousy
 4
between brothers:
 5
you would have to believe
 6
that these two brothers
 7
could stand each other no more,
 8
so, they seperated
 9
and repopulated
 10
on the lands which
 11
we now all know.
 12

And, to believe that
 13
this ancient war
 14
is ongoing
 15
but the quarrel
 16
is growing
 17
from jelousy to hate:
 18
you would have to believe
 19
that distant descendants
 20
of these brothers
 21
fight with ignorance
 22
for reasons
 23
of which, the initial
 24
to them is unknown.
 25

The further belief would be
 26
that the ignorant pass on the torch
 27
to the next generation
 28
of distant descendants
 29
who will fight
 30
with no remorse.
