In Their Shadows
Whiskeyjack

As we dwell among the shadow
 1
The shadow of a perfect bliss
 2
It appears to us a sun so bright
 3
But something is amiss
 4

In heaven it is perfect
 5
On earth it is not so
 6
For when a shadow is a sun
 7
It comes upon some woe
 8

We thrive in heavens shadow
 9
We soak upon its grace
 10
The bliss of theirs so perfect
 11
That it laughs upon our face
 12

For when the shadow of their perfection
 13
Falls down onto our world
 14
It is the sunshine of our lives
 15
But something is unfurled
 16

Though we have not the perfection
 17
We have seized the opposite
 18
Its to the jealousy of heaven
 19
We have tragedy we must admit
