I am an expert at capsising dinghies, the lifeboats just ignore me now, I had to spend all night sitting on an upturned hull, and it was cold.
I could not find my whisky, and those bloody puffins kept pushing me off. Little bastards. I will get them next time if only I could find the ship’s cat, I should have taught it to swim better.

A calm poet write a small ditty
to those who would wallow in pity.
The mean poets came,
disparaged his name
and now he writes words much more gritty.

i am not a mean poet.
I was thinking that Sailingpoet posted his poem so other people would read it, not to "calm" people down.
Maybe I was wrong.
It didn't calm me down.

I liked it, even more so this way.
How about this
A calm poet wrote a small ditty
to those who would wallow in pity
Mean poets they came
disparaged his name
And now, write he his words a more gritty.

You wrecked it, Mor. It was fine as was.
Nightengale, it wasn't directed at you at all.

Well if only you had i instead of an e you could possibly have done a Frank Sinatra.
However, it is only the male that sings beautifully, the female just squawks discordantly, whether in Berkley square or not, however Florence would be delighted amongst the bed pans of effort.

Hey guys,
of course i posted it for people to read it.
but it was not intended to advertise it.
I have no ego what so ever about my poems or anybody else's,
How can someone critique other poems without knowing the facts or the state of mind of the poet.
Thank you
fondly
