Definitions will spawn in a new window (Wordnet):

The fruit-seller of 16th street

the produce sour,
the jobless man goes mad:
   “we attempted to sleep…
            benadryl and beer.
            cigarettes and beer.
                      against her breast...”
a pigeon is there too, circling,
                       but it is cold.
                 no women at all.
            starving there.
         “& ‘not enough water.
            it just doesn't rain...’
                  sorrows beget sorrows--
                     my woman was gone,”
                     some recognition,
drinks another beer.
“long black stockings.
(to the pigeon) let me alone!
leaving this all will be easier.”
      sitting on the ground:
         oranges, apples, avocados, tomatoes, cucumbers.
