Definitions will spawn in a new window (Wordnet):

Smudged with color

You were a blur that day,
smudged with colors of jealousy and love.
We could have shut down that bar,
instead we drank one beer.
You always choose to say what you mean,
but not what you want
because you think that would be mean.
I didn't need you to walk me home,
I enjoyed the slightly painful
but consistent
beating of wind against my ears
